august 14th
Decided to head out to Sauvie Island the morning following Matt's 30th birhtday. Knowing it was going to be crazy hot, we left at 9am. Harrison's bag was packed and ready for a flower adventure, but before we could leave Hillsboro Matt had a birthday breakfast request. Ihop. He wanted pancakes from Ihop the previous morning, but I thought he was joking around.....turns out he was offended and wasn't kidding. So......we headed over to Ihop for breakfast. Ihop was........ewwwwh. Happy belated birthday MJ!

Distad Family Reunion
This years beach trip to Lincoln City, Oregon was filled with new experiences. First we stayed at the Inn at Spanish Head, unlike previous years were we stayed at Nelscott Manor and trekked it over to the Inn for the reunion. We had a baby. Aunt Chris and Uncle Glen had a baby. Aunt Julianne and Uncle Mark caught crabs in Depot Bay. (hahaha)
This year we celebrated Julianne's haux six birthday. I recreated her favorite birthday cake, and we all wrote her little notes about how great and thoughtful she is. Julianne seemed overjoyed :) Yay!! Success.
Bailee Ashley Jonathan
Baby Harrison's wearing a Mike Wazowski hat Anut Julianne made him.
View from Grandparent room 420.
recreated hamburger cake for Julianne. Took me a day of planning and six hours of decorating, but the results are totally worth the look on her face. Rolled white fondent, then painted it to look like lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and onions. Sliced kiwi for pickle slices, and smashed strawberries into cream cheese frosting to make special house sauce.

Riley especially enjoyed our gift........sour dough bread, popcorn, bag of marshmallows, six chocolate bars, and graham crackers. Sleep over snacks!!
