21 days old

It's been.......it's been......a little stressful around the Distad household these past few days. Harrison's pediatrician had some good news and bad news for us. He's finally surpassed his birth weight. YAY!!!! Bad news: he has to see an ENT specialist about his tongue and a possible cyst in his ear. Gosh darn it!

On my way home from Harrison's appt I was pulled over for talking on my cell to Matt about his appt. and this all happened on my 29th birthday. I explained the situation to the officer who seemed sympathetic, but then alas.....he wasn't. One hundred and ten bucks later I cried big crocodile tears all the way home. To top off the day, the birthday card MJ gave me this year says, "Hope your day is full of surprises!" MJ felt so bad about the card after hearing about my day that he decided to cook dinner which was terrible. His words words not mine.

Now to day 21 of Harrison's little life. It started off with some sleeping, crying, pooping, peeing, diaper changing, and a little projectile vomiting. Followed by a sweet relaxing car ride to 5 Guys Burgers and Frys where his parents devoured a thousand calories each. Mmmmm burgers. After that he took a stroll over at the Amberglen Corporate Park where he decided to it was time to take a nap under a well groomed oak tree. It seems day 21 was full of everyday normalities and a few new adventures.
